...but I have been reading DU for a long time, it's a great forum with thousands of interesting topics and the posters are great...top notch all the way. It does bother me though when I see Democrats attacking others on the basis of personal appearance or who they are married to.

All this does is give the right more talking points against Democrats and the members of this forum. I have read thousands of posts where people state that Dem's are better than the right but I continue to see posts like this one.

I know that the right launches terrible attacks against Democrats, gays, immigrants and others that don't fit their mold, but why do we have to do it? Personal attacks are wrong and counterproductive,no matter who is conducting them.IMHO...Thanks....
