Iran strike 'would be disastrous'
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/6330353.stm
<snip>
A coalition of charities, faith groups and unions has warned Tony Blair that any military action against Iran would have "unthinkable" consequences.

In the report, Time to Talk: The Case for Diplomatic Solutions on Iran, the coalition accuses Mr Blair of using the prospect of military action as a negotiating tool.

Launching the report, former Labour minister Stephen Twigg, director of the Foreign Policy Centre, said: "The consequences of military action against Iran are not only unpalatable; they are unthinkable.

"Even according to the worst estimates, Iran is still years away from having a nuclear weapon.

"There is still time to talk and the prime minister must make sure our allies use it."

1. What? It would be a disaster? Well, that cinches it for the Chimp...we're goin in!!
Sad that the Neo-Cons put a friggin website up detailing that they would need a new Pearl Harbor to put their plan of invading Iraq, Iran and Syria in order to re-shape the Middle East for Israel, and still NO ONE in a position to really do anything are doing ANYTHING to help.

We will be bombing Iran in March. Anyone want to make a friendly bet? The forces are already deployed, aircraft carrier groups are amassed in the Persian Gulf, and Pelosi is saying that if it looks like an attack is imminent, THEN the Dems will act?

Wake up Nancy ! We're going in in less than two months, the troops are already there and Bush has enough weapons and cash on hand to get us half pregnant with yet another disasterous war.

PLEASE Dems, quit thinking about your political reputation and SAVE THIS COUNTRY !

2. Well said.
But for every one of us that is staring at the tracks, gasping at the horror of an impending train wreck . . .

There's a thousand sitting around on picnic blankets . . . yammering on about "Election '08", like everything is just going to go one as usual.

They don't want to believe that fascism is on the verge of having it's FINAL say.

This board has apparently gone utterly delusional.
