I never thought I'd have to read my homeowners insurance
policy coverage to see if we were covered for damage from "acts of war" and "nuclear attack" but the subject came up today in a casual conversation with a friend. Somehow the conversation went from "sump pumps" to politics. The subject was adequate coverage and more precisely, what is "enough" coverage. WE talked about exclusions and the war aspect came up. Good grief, how far we have fallen. It is depressing.
1. And? What did you find? You aren't covered, are you?
I haven't check mine, but I'll almost bet I'm not covered for acts of God or war. And, from what I can surmise, acts of God is about anything they can think of they DON'T want to cover. Am I wrong?

you can be sure the insurance companies will be part of the casualties. Look at Iraq. Whatever order and bureaucracy was in place to handle day to day business is pretty much gone and the country is operating in chaos.
