Duckett Family Sues CNN, Nancy Grace
"OCALA, Fla. -- A judge has ruled that a lawsuit between relatives of a missing boy's mother who killed herself after aggressive questioning by CNN's Nancy Grace and the talk show host will be tried in federal court.

According to court documents, U.S. Magistrate Judge Gary R. Jones has ruled that federal court would handle the suit because the involved parties are from different jurisdictions.

The lawsuit claims that Grace caused severe emotional distress that led to Melinda Duckett's suicide in 2006."

I bet those nostrils did a double-take when she heard this.

2. A bit off topic -- Did they ever find the little boy?
Nancy Grace was over the top on that interview (as usual). Can't stand to tune in and watch her. Ugh!

5. No, they never found him
I have been following it since it happened because there was so much to the story that I got interested. Law enforcement has said that she may have handed him off to someone, but there is no proof of that and there is also no proof of her killing him. The case seems to be at a stand still right now.

10. Thanks
We lose track of stories like this and forget about them so easily. :(

12. That's an excellent point
Nancy Grace and others like her leave a trail of emotional destruction behind them, then they're on to the next big story.

But she especially seems to specialize in these "hit 'n run" pieces where she will allow no other point of view but her own, based on little or no evidence.

It's a delight to see someone drag her into the ugly reality she's caused.

7. She's anything but "Grace"-ful, as usual...
Sadly, Trenton Duckett is still missing, with no credible leads in months. His father has not given up the efforts to find him...

I hope that family gets whatever justice they can, including Nasty Grease getting booted from the airwaves.

11. It was all about the ratings
The young woman had just killed herself that day and CNN and Grace decided to run the interview anyway. It was one of the most tasteless things I have seen in a long while on a show like that.
