So if there really is a Gay Agenda
to Homify America wouldn't we still have disco? I mean my little brother was gay, I have gay friends and I'm still not gay. The closest thing that homified me was disco. Unbuttoned shirts, tight pants, glitter, man it was touch and go for a while.

1. Obviously there wasn't quite enough touch and go.
:P

There's still time. It's never too late to join us. We're always recruiting, you know. :7

2. I sincerely hope the gay agenda takes hold
My new neighbors are a gay couple and just in two months their yard is beautiful.

This 'hood could use a little class.

6. Of course, that does involve liking our divas
Either you love Barbra/Bette/Cher/Judy...or you're not initiated in the club. Rules are rules, after all.

7. OK
see I dig Bette. What's that creeping up my spine? I think it's a Bee Gees tune.

9. We have to allow some flexibility though.
I never follow rule #6 about proper appreciation of our drag queens. My knees just can't take it anymore. :P

33. And for the ladies, don't forget our offer of a beautiful new toaster.
So many benefits if you join now. No having to show each other where everything is and how to operate it. Save time and money, and double your wardrobe overnight.

So don't delay, go gay today!

3. The "Gay Agenda"
Would benefit all! I mean how can anyone be against equal rights? Except those of course who feel the need to have to feel Superior over someone else.

5. There always has been.
It's pretty simple: If you're single, try to get laid. If you've found a mate with whom you're happy, enjoy life with them. The whole problem is that if you're gay there are literally millions of bigots in this country who wish to codify into law a denial of any possibility for you to pursue either option.

8. It will happen when the gay aliens land and shoot their gay-gun/gay-ray at people
They are racing here to beat out L Ron Hubbard and his crew of aliens.

Legend has it that they fly in a rainbow colored disco ball and lure people into their ships with antiques and Barbra Streisand music.

The armada will be here soon, until then the agenda has to make due with a few ships. So if you hear Barbra blaring from over head and hear someone yelling 'come in and see this fabulous 50's lamp' you best run, or let them beam you up, have a latte, and watch Rocky Horror Picture show a few hundred times :)

19. I will consult the board and see what they think.
Personally, I am holding out for a far better model before I switch teams.

Or at least one in red that will match my kitchen better.

24. Ah. That must be the problem.
Maybe we should tempt the fates and come with swatches of color to completely redecorate.

It's a thought. I shall bring that up at the next Gay Agenda meeting (I am the straight representative, the voice of the as-yet-unrecruited.)

26. I know this is a joke but
I'd say disco culture is alive and well, looks different now but is at least as "gay" as the seventies version. Go to a trance, hypno, drum/bass, etc. club and you will see plenty of glitter, tight pants, and if not unbuttoned shirts, very small or nonexistent ones. Not that you'd be interested in that sort of thing. Not that there would be anything wrong with that...

Seriously, I have a couple of compilation cds and whenever I'm stressed at work, I pop them in. I mean, really...who can be in a bad mood with K.C. or Chic singing to them?? Impossible, I say!

Of course, I'm pretty sure I was part-inspiration for "Girls who Love Boys who Love Boys" ;)
