Anyone remember this unbelievably creepy painting?

It's called "Endless Riches" and was used as a cover on an issue of the "New York Times Sunday Magazine" in early 2004.

It got brought to mind today, and I thought I'd share the horror.

From what I read of his life, he was sort of against people amassing riches--felt they should help the needy, give the poor not only their coat but their cloaks, etc. etc.

Paste it into your browser address window and you should be set. For whatever reason that was all that worked for me. :shrug:

My late uncle in Topeka had several paintings of clowns. A large one hanging in the living room depicted several of them playing poker. That was creepy.
