Did you watch the ridiculous Republican debate? Did you count how many times the ten white Republi-clones danced around the issues, especially the war on terror, like they were dodging subpoenas? Or how many times they evoked patron saint Reagan? (Hope you weren't playing a drinking game with that one).

Who emerged the star of the dog and pony show? Was it Duncan "I built the border fence" Hunter? John "mo' war" McCain? Rudy "lightening strikes" Guiliani? Mike "screw Darwin" Huckabee? Sam "what Iraq intelligence report" Brownback?

And why were they all in such a rush to guarantee a pardon of Scooter Libby? Are they all THAT terrified of Cheney?

The real winner of last night's white man all star tour was probably Fred Thompson, in absentia, appearing on Hannity and Colmes instead.

124. Ya know I was thinking about that today. Of all the cats I've had

in my life and all the rescue groups I've been in, I do the same thing! I know better, but sometimes I just couldn't keep a new kitty in a separate room for more than a little while. I think things would have been different with Simon and Scarlett terrorizing Raisin. But sigh, they are like people too, they have their favorites...

They get treated fairly otherwise, like the kings and queens they are. :-) :woohoo:

You know what's funny is as much as Cosmo hates Screech and Skid and hated Old Willie when he was still with us, he doesn't have the same problems with Milo and Peanut. They were both kittens when I brought them in.

and her former family actually brought her into my house. That's a good thing to do. Have someone else bring the cat into the home. but Pumpkin is the only one who likes her. Poor little Sesame. Yes, it is a big event around here!! Unfortunately, the neighbor's cats that we're supposed to be looking out for, and the insane dog that we were dealing with...we can't find one of their cats! We don't know if he took off Mon. night when all of this was going on, or if he's hurt. I don't want to call my neighbors and screw up their week away, but I'm not sure of what to do! :hi: :hug:

My cats are fine, but we can't locate the neighbor's cat that we're supposed to looking out for while they are away for a week or so! The insane dog that we were dealing with Mon. was in their garage where he first tried to bite one of my kids. In the fray, I was consistently saying that we had to run the dog away from their house, too! I don't want to ruin my neighbor's week, but even today we haven't seen the one that they usually leave outside, and my kids are saying that the only cat that comes to greet them is the one that they usually leave inside. I don't know whether to call them or not. :hi: :hug:

your neighbors would probably thank you if you called them. It's a tough decision. I wish people wouldn't let their cats out. But they do so you can hope that Kitty will be back.

I worry about our cats if we're gone for 2 days, but when they want out they're gonna get out...like Mon. night when everybody was trying to keep them in and they got out anyway. We've had discussions here about whether to kennel our cats at the vet's office, ask the neighbors to keep an eye out for them, and feed them whether the cats wanted to be inside or outside, and my kids have always stated that Nosy (the older one) would be in more distress if he was caged up at the vet's office for a week, and they would just prefer to cancel any plans that we had and just stay home!

Did I mention that we're planning to be home this summer? :hi:

Hell, the neighbors next door left and said they'd be gone for a week and left us the phone number of the people who were supposed to be taking care of their dogs. I just happened to go over last night and the dogs had no water, etc. I filled the water bowl and started raiding my 'fridge and fed them, but no one here had seen these people pull into the driveway until tonight when they kept telling me they'd been over here every evening at about the same time (which is a BS lie). I was one my way over there tonight to feed them again after giving them water...

Why in the hell would you assure someone that you'll take care of their animals, when that isn't really what you meant to do???? Fretting about the missing cat, and the dogs next door on top of the Dimson** misadminstration just might cause me to blow a fuse!!!

These dogs aren't particularly 'nice', i.e., I would never go in the fence where they are and one is more nasty tempered than the other one. While I was holding the hose over the fence yesterday the nasty tempered one was trying to bite my arm!! I have the utmost respect for my neighbors who adopted these dogs as puppies from really nasty conditions, but jeeeze! They were a little nicer today after the refrigerator raid of last evening, but I still wouldn't even consider going inside the fence!

I just got back from the last family Graduation party for my son!!

We had lasagna and salad and garlic bread and hugs and took pics and looked at pics of the graduation and

we laughed and had cake and opened presents and hugged some more and made plans for a cookout and my

sister gave my son my great grand-father's watch and said that my Dad would have wanted him to have it.
