1. Be pretty hard to do considering he was elected for a two year term

and has not been convicted of any crimes.

4. No, Jefferson makes Jefferson look bad.
But the Dems need to cut him off at the knees to the extent they can, and not try to protect him or excuse his behavior (like Republicans do for their crooks).

7. He has been pulled off his committees right?
not much else the democrats can do. He was elected.

They can take him off of all committees and limit his access to stuff Congressmen get access to, especially national security stuff.

Edited on Mon Jun-04-07 03:27 PM by MNDemNY
then he should be made persona non grata (sp?)No Dem talks to him or acknowledges his presence.

9. He was finally indicted today, so it shouldn't be long now:
and if he's guilty, so be it. The Dems don't have a chance in hell of looking as bad as the rethugs; a few bad apples are inevitable imo, as sad as that is.

12. He sure does. After all, he apparently didn't use his office to enact legislation ...
... that would make corruption "legal" before he engaged in some kind of "enterprise" - an approach like the GOP has perfected.

15. The true measure of the party is not when things are going well, but when they are going badly
If the Dems do the right thing and boot his ass out (of at least the party), denounce him, and generallt go public in a big way that this is unacceptable, it will resonate well for the party.

If dance around the issue we will look and in fact be no better than the Repukes

18. Not true....
He should not have ran for office and the people who voted for him are responsible!
Democrats are not perfect, just not as professionally corrupt as Republics!
