Whatever happened with those 2 missing soldiers?
Am I missing something? I know of the three abducted two weeks ago, one was found dead with signs of torture. If anyone knows how that's played out please let me know. Last I heard there were rumors that the two other soldiers were thought to be alive.

Has anyone heard any updates on this?

2. My understanding was that two were found dead, but we only heard of the one...
because his mother released the news when she was notified. Apparently at that time, a second soldier's body was found, as I recall, but couldn't be identified (don't wanna think about why that is!) so the name wasn't released.

I don't think it'll take too much imagination to figure out what's happened to the one remaining captive. Some of those people are fucking monsters over there and we have no business forcing our troops to try and occupy a hostile land like that.

3. The ones who sent them to die don't give a damn what happened to them.

5. Correction: I may've spoke too soon
I just News-googled it and most reports are still saying the search is going on for two troops. Apparently thousands of US forces are involved in this. One soldier from Pembroke, MA was shot in the head by a sniper during the search and died of his injury yesterday. I think that's the second US fatality in this search.

Again, brace yourself for the worst possible news about the two captives. No one wants to be grim, but ransom-motivated kidnappers in Iraq don't go after US troops.

4. IIRC, a day or so after they found the first body, they found the other two.
And then the story was tanked. I could be wrong but that's how I remember it.

I suspect you're right.
The story suddenly vanished, I suspect it's been quashed for this exact reason, it's not 'good news' coming out of Iraq.

7. This was big news until it became apparent that there wasn't going

8. I think we're supposed to forget they are missing ...
with the help of the MSM's silence on the topic.

As long as we're kept up to date on Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, et al ... it's all good. :sarcasm:

9. Torrance Soldier's Funeral
Corporal Joe Anzack, Jr., was the kid killed, from Torrance, California. Two years ago he was starting nose guard for the Torrance South High School Spartan football team. Now he's dead, with a bullet in his brain and torture bruises on him.

They held a funeral for him today on the South High football field. At least 2,000 people attended. All the network news people were there, and the story led the evening news tonight in LA, both at 6:00 and 11:00 pm. His parents and family were distraught. He's going to be buried at Arlington National Cemetery.

FUCK THIS WAR.

10. I think there are 4 total 'missing', IIRC
Two still left from the three kidnapped a couple of weeks ago, then one and another that have been missing for over a year. Maybe two or three years.

I do not want to imagine too vividly what they are going through.

11. I don't know, it smells like BS to me... (Tin hat alert)
Remember all those news about young pretty girls being kidnap and how people would only talk about it? I think the Pentagon is playing the "soldier being kidnapped game" to induce hate and bring about more support for the troops staying in Iraq. Maybe they were killed during the gunfight and their corpses are right next to Bin Laden's waiting for the right time to make a comeback. There has been other kidnaps (civilians and soldiers) in the past and units were not mobilized the way they did this time. :tinfoilhat: :tinfoilhat:

13. If they were the two being searched for, the timing could not
have been more abstract. Memeorial Day and finding lifeless tortured bodues would have been overwhwlming. "Timing" is everything w/these ghouls, (on both sides), and bushites would most likely have used this to garner support.

In any case, the outcome of this was never really in doubt...:( , and w/this is assinine group of spineless bastards in the seat, we can't even claim the high ground on moral standing, as they are stupid enough to believe torture is some sort of tool to be used for gain...
