Dale Ford (Washington County) speaking out against the extending the commission of the Tennessee Nursing Board (legislation for an amendment had been introduced to extend the Nursing Board to a 2016 sunset date).

Rep. Matthew Hill (also of Washington County) asked the members of the Tennessee House of Representatives to "...seriously consider what Rep. Ford had to say about extending their commission, and I think that there needs to be some additional thought looked at this...I make a motion that we refer this bill back to <the> Government Operations <Committee - Rep. Tony Shipley is a member of this committee>."

The Tennessee Board of Investigation is reportedly looking into whether Reps. Tony Shipley and Dale Ford improperly used their elected offices to reverse the decision of the Tennessee Nursing Board to suspend the licenses of three nurses, two having personal ties to Shipley and Ford.
