1. Calm, rational discussion
that makes some very good points, particularly about international concerns.

2. Excellent discussion. At what point does the world say "Enough."
TEPCO consistently short-changed safety before the earthquake and is doing an unbelievably bad job containing this disaster.

3. My thoughts are that if the NP plants are flooded with radiation so strong
that the plant and area will be unable to be used for maybe 100 years, that's if new neutralizing methods are discovered, and they are done as working power generators then why let the dangerous particles continue to contaminate the world? Isn't it time to bury them with cement like Chernobyl?

6. Exactly right, misinformation has nothing to do with partisan politics
and everything to do with corporations owning the press. Public health information should not be controlled by the corporations themselves, that is insane.

7. Didn't listen to video - people in the house sleeping - Who is doing
the lying and why? The company would have something to gain because they can be sued but why would the Japanese government lie?

9. It's one thing

It's one thing when America let BP stay in control of their mess. That will merely gift many people in the region with early death, possibility reverse the gulf stream and make Gulf seafood suspect for many years to come.

But, TEPCO is proving itself to be the BP of nuclear disasters. I long for the good old days when Japanese Executives KILLED THEMSELVES if they screwed up this bad. This nuclear material has the potential for messing things up, at the very least, in the local region, for a half million years or more. These TEPCO managers would have visited the state FIRING SQUAD a month ago, if this disaster happened in China. They still have this quaint notion about holding criminals to account when they commit major corporate crime.

Dr. Michio Kaku, my favorite TV Physicist, in on MSM daily screaming to the world trying to tell us just how serious this cluster fuck really is.

It is obvious to all non-morans that something as dangerous as nuclear power should not be controlled by any FOR PROFIT entity. A government run plant would be a lot less likely to foul the commons for a half million years, in the name of short term coerporate profit.

-90% Jimmy

PS - David Pakman is an excellent journalist. He is the Thom Hartmann of his generation. If young people today are like David, at least there's a chance of a better future for the world. Somebody has to clean up this baby boomer international mess!
