2. I watched for one reason only
To see if Friedman would mention the Friedman Unit of time in his monologue.

6. Oh come on well all just need to cut down our Olive Trees and Buy Lexuses. Thomas Friedman was such
a big cheer leader for Globalization for so long I can't listen to him with any seriousness.

7. Friedman Units?
He has zero credibility and has been dead wrong on everything.

12. Dead wrong on everything?
Did you even listen to what he had to say or read his article?

You can't have, because it is full of correct.

11. He somehow missed the fact the USA is well on it's way to a cleptocracy.

9. Does he have anything to add?
He sees what's unfolding before all of our eyes then tries to one-up everybody with the cleverest analogies. He's not ahead of the curve, not a visionary.

13. A very important history lesson for Americans who haven't been paying attention
And are still trying to stick their heads in the sand, as evidenced by emails being sent into Cooper, which he paraphrased:

COOPER: Yes, I've been getting e-mails from viewers and tweets from some viewers saying, "You know what? I'm interested in what's happening, but I'm tired of all this coverage going on in the Middle East. There's things happening here in America."

This is the second time I've heard him mention these emails. Sounds like he's getting spammed by a lot of ostriches.

I see the interview and article as an attempt to wake up America, not trying to be "ahead of the curve": http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x496466

10. Thank you St. Ronnie
He was wise enough to see that alternate energy was hokum and aggressively accelerating the advent of PEAK OIL is what AMERICA is really all about.

It still bugs me one of the first things Reagan did is take down Jimmy Carter's Solar Panels on the White House.

anyway, not only is America's addition to oil great for funding enemy terrorists, but it's also putting the future of our very planet in jeopardy. Part of me is patting myself on the back for not having kids, but, GOOD GOD, I'm still a person and I like kids and kids are supposed to be happy. How can a child of today expect to lead a life of happiness? Is a life of meager economic servitude in service of the wealth of the bullies that took everything really what we want to give to future generations?

I think America, thanks to Wisconsin, is finally starting to realize they have no representation in their own government. We've all got to get out in the streets and do it ourselves and talk to each other and engage in each other and right this sinking planet being ruined in the name of greed for powerful bullies.

I'm going to leave work an hour early Saturday to attend the Hartford Wisconsin Solidarity Rally at the Capitol. I am the only one that can change things for me. I'm going to have to work harder on this. Be wiser, know how to get the message out. Paul Revere 2.0 for this oppressive age!

-90% Jimmy
