2. Riiiiiiiiiight....and isn't he supposed to be on his way to some foreign country right now???
Edited on Wed May-05-10 09:34 PM by BrklynLiberal
He promised to leave us alone if Health Care passed..didn't he? Why is he still here?

Maybe that situation will be resolved if he really does eat some oil infused seafood.

4. So it turns out Rush is a liar, a hypocrite and an ignoramus ?
Or an alternate take...Rush is an asshole, but a smart one, and the hypocrites and especially the ignoramuses are his legion of true believers.

5. The Drugster?
Those of us who use recreational drugs responsibly (that's right, I said it) feel that Rush Limbaugh gives recreational drug use a bad name.

Keep in mind, people, that birth control is a recreational drug.

11. Rush isn't a "recreational drug user". He's an addict.
A sanctimonious, self-righteous addict who's in denial.

7. Since he couldn't even remember the name at first-
Can I assume that fat fuck has never actually been to prince William Sound? And if we take that leap of faith and assume he knows what he's talking about when he says it's "pristine", how does that piece of shit think the beaches got that way? Nothing to do with all those dopey environmentalists who dropped everything to go out there and scrub the rocks with toothbrushes, right?

10. Further proof that Limbaugh will literally blurt out anything. And the dildoheads drink it up.
Whenever I get into discussions with relatives at family gatherings, they will always bring up that old standby, the liberal media. When I point out that the radio stations in our area are overwhelmingly saturated with RW talk shows, they try to make the argument that it balances out because MSNBC has Keith Olbermann, the Ed Show and Rachel Maddow.

In addition to that argument being plain stupid just on the media saturation, Olbermann and Maddow research and attribute their findings to sources. As we just heard on this audio clip from the Ed Show, Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, etc. will literally say anything with nothing to back it up. They act like nobody can take the time to refute their claims. A person can work full-time successfully refuting these clowns' statements on their shows.

12. They really do speak as if it's still 1992 and nobody's on the internet.
Therefore, there's no practical way for most people to check out the horse shit they so incessantly spew. When Youtube came around, it was yet another nail in the coffin of their credibility. Fortunately for them, their listeners are so ignorant and misguided that actual accuracy isn't nearly as important as the ability to evoke certain emotions in their listeners (i.e. fear, hate, self-righteousness, anger).

13. Let's wait until the oil makes its way up the ATL coast.
Then the oil will ooze into Lake Worth and all those rich folk will be screaming bloody hell.

14. Don't be so eager for that to happen.
It's still an environmental catastrophe, even if rich Republicans have oil in their back yard. Also, if we're glib about it and laugh when even "drill baby drill" douchebags find the value of their beachfront homes dropping, the right will just use that as "proof" that librulz sabotaged the oil rig to cause this mess.

I can just hear Rush Lamebaugh babbling through his ill-fitting dentures right now: "The coast of Florida is saturated with oil folks. This is the libruls' payback for the 2000 election, For Jeb Bush."

15. If it is in their backyards they will acknolwedge the issue.
For the record, I love Florida. We are going to Orlando this Sept. for vacation. We planned a overnight trip to St. Pete Clearwater area. We dread what we will see once we are there. I don't wish ill on the good people of FL (yes, even the tea baggers).

When the Exxon Valdez disaster happened, everyone thought what a terrible thing it was. But that was Alaska. How many people had to live with the smell and loss of animal life and the ecological ruin? A lot fewer than the millions of people who live and work in the Gulf states. These naysayers will not admit there is a problem. Let them see for themselves.

IMO, this will be far more disastrous than anyone can imagine. Except BP. They know the score.

17. Let's hope the law is retroactively changed so BP has to actually pay for the cleanup.
I'm not holding my breath though. In this day and age, accountability is for the poor when the rich lose money.

16. "A person can work full-time successfully refuting these clowns' statements on their shows"
That's the idea. It's been working for them for some time now.
