because we could end up jumping off the frying pan to fall into the fire.

I would not put it past Obama to do a creative play to earn more of those bipartisan miles he is trying to get for that free trip to Maui next year, and bipass the whole DLC and appoint a Republican straight up for the position. Maybe then, the GOP will finally really really love him?

That being said, incompetence in DC is usually rewarded. So I am not holding my breath.
