IQ over 160. Captain of the high school chess club. Computer scientist who spent most of my career at NASA. etc. etc.

but I relate to other people fairly well. Never had a problem dating (not handsome, so it must be my charm :) ).

It helps to like to do "non nerd" things, like I'm part owner of a night club and can salsa dance fairly well for a non-hispanic, I used to teach scuba diving and traveled a bit. Mountain climber as well.

But there is something else about these "boyish" 30 something repukes... they really really don't like the rest of the world and it's evident from their politics and mannerisms (Paul Wolfowitz is another, bit older, version). Very creepy.

I read all the comments on this thread before I viewed the video, so I was on the lookout for any "rude" behavior by Leahy. I saw none.
I have participated in many, many hearings from start to finish, and am very familiar with how aggressively Chairmen protect the integrity and process of a hearing. Leahy made the witness respond to a question when the witness was deliberately evasive and obtuse and again when the witness told a blatant lie (claiming that the Justice Department had no provisions re timing of such suits). The witness insulted the Chairman and the entire committee with his attempted evasion and lie. I thought Leahy showed commendable restraint.
