But the dudes always are with their lovers/mistresses when they are purposely "missing"....men of power, money & privilege most of the time the wives know about these affairs and are content (for a while, some longer than others) with the money, prestige, family, life of luxury and celebrity notability....but most get bored, they want more, suck the dude dry and/or have their own affairs and finally the marriage is over.

Although some (I can think of, WR Hearst for one of many) where they stayed married for a lifetime, each having their own separate loves & private life and together for appearances to please the idiot gullible public for their public life.
