2. I have always been moved to tears by that song...
If you've never heard Roger Waters (of Pink Floyd) 'Amused to Death' you should give it a listen. It's the best stuff he did in the post-Floyd years. Some really moving background dialog with WWI vets and how they had to abandon their dead in the trenches of Europe.

I listened to it over and over as I rushed to see my uncle, who was dying. Missed saying goodbye by half an hour. But somehow I think this song was my good-bye. And the message, for today, again brings tears to my eyes.
