2. Un-Real. How much more of this kind of thing to we have to put up with?

The major problems in the Air Traffic control system (other than the short sighted manager that barred the Fire Department from being allowed to come) were reveled by this incident.

First, because of Good ol' Ronnie Reagan Firing ALL the Air Traffic Controllers in 1981 (because the went on strike), which means all those replacement controllers are almost all the same age, it means that they are all beginning to Retire all at the same time.

And Second, it points out that there appears to be NO BACK-UP Center! What would happen if their was a Fire there, or a bombing, and the place had to be evacuated? Then What? With out a Back-up center (which if they had one, they would have evacuated this one and moved the controllers to) the entire Eastern Part of North American would be crippled if this place had to be shut down for a week or more!
