This is my city last night, famously called "Little Beirut" by Bush Sr. A spontaneous eruption of song in support of a renewed America and the certainty of an Obama presidency.

edited to add: This was filmed by a 19 year old film and video student, Zack Cortez, in Pioneer Court House Square, Portland's "living room" on Nov. 4th.

I attended the "counter-inauguration" protest there in January 2001. It would have been great to be there to celebrate the end of the Bush regime.

However, I had a great time with a bunch of Minnesota DUers watching the election returns at a bar in St. Paul.
