Or missed my sarcasm. Clinton won twice by a significant margin (compared to Bush the-even-lesser) and his approval numbers were fairly high throughout his presidency. That puts the lie to this being a "center-right" country.

I do not believe that the "founding fathers" foresaw where the country would go, but I do believe that this country was founded on quite liberal principles.

...until Bush turned it blue. Now only about 29% of the population consider themselves repubs while 39% consider themselves democrats. The rest are independents that lean democratic.
