He'd rather go preaching to the converted at rallies or on his radio show than actually turn up to Parliament and say what he has to say to the Prime Minister. His voting attendance in this session of Parliament is 10%. Which, I don't care what excuse is given, is pretty damn poor

6. I think I could quite agree with George on several items but would like to point out a few things

I don't know his show as I am not in the UK (I assume it to be there) but I would like to point out the internal reasons why the "imperialism, military patriotism and the gmo-diet " seen to be flourishing.

Few Europeans understand the daily shit (almost quite literally) that we are inundated with and the reason why blind nationalism dances around here so freely in the guise of patriotism and the disdain for intellectuals that is so freely promoted.

I'm sorry, but do you find yourself surrounded by that attitude here in any way, shape, or form.

7. While I don't think I weigh 32 stones (?) I am from Texas

and I agree with most of what he had to say. I am saddened to see how much ignorance and hate exists in this country b/c of the way that the real power in this country shapes it with the media. They have groups that market the need for even more tort reform with fake lawsuits and verdicts that never existed to convince jurors that all cases are frivolous. Our politicians are all bought and paid for b/c of the need for campaign money. The financial hole we are in is because no one can get elected w/o promising a tax cut and we squander the rest on war and pork barrel projects. Public education is almost to 3rd world levels b/c teachers are underpaid and parents are too tired from working all of the time to sit down and help with homework and bond with their children. I am ashamed the caller was from Texas as is President Shrub ( I mean Bush).

after researching 32 stones (450 lbs) and am pleased to report I'm apparently not one of the people he's referring to, although I do need to lose a couple stones.

Our empire is crumbling right before our eyes and as far as I'm concerned if empire is all we know how to be, perhaps it's just as well.

Modern "individualism" - meaning consumerist mass individualism - is a product of social and linguistic conditioning. It's a social thing, individualistic version of totalitarianism.

To become a real human being by breaking the conditioning and growing free from the sick system ain't easy. It's the hardest thing, a spiritual quest.
