'The people of the Niger Delta have been pushed too far by multi-national oil companies. Their rivers are poisoned by aqueous waste and they are kept poor as super-profits are extracted from the Niger Delta. MEND have arisen from the material reality of the Delta and they are determined to end injustice.'
