from a script, he is just spewing out crap that his buddies probably discuss at the bar and/or he hears from Rush. You can see how hateful he is the way he speaks them and my hunch is that it has nothing to do with issues, but it totally based on race. Pure disdain that there is a chance that they would elect a black guy as president.

People like this person don't consider the issues and exactly what that they would gain or lose. If the economy continues to go south and he loses his job as a result of it, he does not make the connection at all. If one of his loved ones dies in a future war with Iran, he makes no connection. There are two bigger issues for them that override any, and I mean ANY, issue on the table. Those are race and abortion.

It seems to be an unfortunate fact that the McCain base is heavily populated with people like this. I don't mean in terms of the obvious stereotype that could be applied, but rather those who would continue to be hurt by the Bush policies under McCain.
