I'm making arrangements for a tune up and for buying the tires I was putting off because I was being lazy.

My car gets pretty lousy gas mileage (19 mpg :(), but it would be good if I could optimize it.

4. Excellent clip!

I proved to myself about a year ago how tire inflation can affect gas mileage. Drove from Seattle to Eugene (about 285 miles) to see my family, and when I got there, my mom pointed out that my two front tires were a bit on the low side. Got them properly inflated, and my mileage was so much better on the way back. It took almost an entire tank of gas to get there, and less than 3/4 of a tank to get back. AND, going back to Seattle involves climbing a lot of hills.

So, Obama is absolutely right, as is the guy in the clip.

Suck on that one, Gramps.
