1. Message to Israel: We are not your nanny. You're old enough to fight your own battles.

2. Cenk's guest had a good point --
one would like to think that the leaders of the civilized world would propose an alternative to bombing. But I don't think that's' what Israel wants to hear.

We can't harm ourselves in the protection of Israel - it's not fair of them to ask this of us at this time.

10. In Israel as in America
the ruling class has figured out that the public votes for people who talk tough. That is ironic because in both countries, the leadership is far more belligerent that the people actually believe in being. The average Israeli wants peace much more than their leadership, and likewise for America. But we still keep voting for these assholes because every time, they invent the boogeyman that is gonna jump out and get us.

3. Israel seriously needs to stop pushing the U.S. to continue warring.
Not that the U.S. needs any push. The country is always ready to go bombing.

4. This is really superficial commentary
What they say is true, of course, but they are glossing over the most basic issue. It isn't OK for the US to bomb Iran. But it isn't one bit better for Israel to do it. If Israel does it, that will correctly be seen by the people of the Middle East as a joint venture, and further justification to ramp up attacks against Americans.

Nobody in that area makes any distinction between the USA and Israel, and why should they?

There was a time that the US was more of an honest broker. That is the only way forward.

5. They can't cram every minute of every topic into these youtube clips. That's a just a sample...
of their discussion.

When you watch the entire show, you get all of it (and yes, they both in fact agree with the point that Israel shouldn't be doing it either).

At any rate, just an FYI and something to keep in mind for all TYT clips.

8. No, it's not alright
But Israel stands a good chance of getting its teeth kicked in when it tries to bring an air attack against Iran's air defenses.

So... Hey. Call Israel's bluff. Tell them "go ahead. Dare ya" and watch them back down.

Israel might launch rockets over the wall shoot a missile at some shacks, but it's not going to try for a full-scale attack without us.

9. War, war, war, war, war...
How'd that work out for them in Lebanon?

I hope Israel will grow the fuck up soon.

12. There is another reason Israel wants
and needs American support with this, if Israel does this alone and can not take out Iran's entire airforce and nuclear facilities in one strike, Iran can and will retaliate hard.
Iran might get hurt worse but Israel will not come out unscathed either, and Iran has more sophisticated weapons than kassams.

No there is no way we should do this and neither should Israel.

13. I think...
Olmert's going to do it. He's desperate. The Knesset is all over him. Even the doves are out-hawking him right now. The military wants to hit Iran hard, and before Bush is gone. I think the real discussion is, how will Iran retaliate? By proxy in Lebanon? Through closer relations with China and Russia through the SCO? Or worst case scenario, by extending support to some sleeper cell in the west?
