Soros is not calling Bush a Nazi, he merely drew an analogy on the way that fear and propaganda are used, which is 100% valid.

Notice Wolfie absolutely refuses to discuss the central ideas of the Soros book, and wants to focus on what he thinks he can turn into a sensationalistic trashing of said book!

4. I think Soros should not have given way to Blitzer's lament/criticism.

The Republicans are very fond of this, "A lot of people think...". As some-one on here pointed out not long ago, what may be "a lot of people" under one perspective, might well, in the relevant context, be a very small minority. And in fact, invariably is, in the mouths of Republican apologists/supporters.

It's evidently another version of their mantra, "The American public will never blah, blah". As if they'd know or appreciate what the American public would or wouldn't want, put up with, etc.

I'm currently reading this book:



Amazing work by one of America's greatest journos, William Shirer. There are similarities, especially the propaganda machine and media. But also the aggressiveness and will to power during Hitlers day makes me see the similarities to todays regime. The disdain for democracy and for allied politicians, the extremist way of uniforming culture to align it with corrupted religion and the militarized society, it's all there.
