2. Yes, I did
And you are making my point for me. All of these nasty attacks on Obama are just hurting the Party. I'm OK with her campaigning if she can do it without making all these nasty attacks. But if she has no positive message that she can offer that would distinguish her from Obama, then she should just go away.

10. Speaking of which
I watched the video with her cackling and talking about dancing angels. I went to bed right after and dreamed that she was at the podium when asked the Columbia question. She started her cackle, pulled off her panties, and threw them at the reporter as if to say, "there, does that answer your question?"

I woke up with a start and had a hard time returning back to sleep. I think it was 3am.

Hilary voted for the war and she voted for the Kyle/Lieberman bill. She has smeared her Democratic opponent while praising her republican opponent. She lied about the hospital story and about Bosnia. I will never vote for her, because she lacks good judgment and has a history of standing behind presidents when they make bad choices... NAFTA and the war.

8. And what if...
she is the nominee? Would we all rather have McCain?

The Clinton-hate is reaching proportions not seen since the late 90's among Republicans. The voters will decide. Neither of our candidates is anywhere near pure. They are both politicians doing what they think they have to do to get elected. (The watching sausage being made analogy comes to mind.)

But, come November, we need a Democrat in the White House.

Not my first choice, John Edwards.
Probably not my second choice, Hillary Clinton.
Most likely, my third choice, Barak Obama.

BUT, please, not another Republican even if we have to hold our noses while we vote.

9. She Cannot Possibly Win This Thing
Part of what I'm so frustrated about is Hillary's "Great Lie" that this race is still close. Go to http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/democratic_delegate_count.html and look at the pledged delegate totals. Obama has 52.7% ; Clinton has only 46.6%. That is not a lead that she can overcome with the few states that are left. Nor is that a margin that I would call "close." Most superdelegates realize that the Party will have real problems if they try to give Clinton the nomination when she is trailing so badly in pledged delegates. So what is Clinton's strategy for winning this one? I cannot think of any way that she could win with legitimacy.

12. Win In November
As I said, the important thing is winning in November. At this point, I agree that Obama has the upper hand, but I also think that they are both playing rough and neither wants to give in to the other. I am impressed with how Obama is wearing. I thought Hillary might drop out and then the focus on Obama would reveal an "empty suit" and we would be stuck with him. He has held up better than I thought he would. This primary season may innoculate the nominee instead of providing the opposition with ammunition.

I guess I do not see the great lie - neither will have the delegates necessary come convention time so why not stay in. Should Clinton be the nominee if she pulled a miracle and passed Obama in the delegate count by, say, 5 votes if still shy of the 2024?

Also, even if Obama has more delegates a strong case can be made that many of them were picked up "easily" in states the dems will not win in the fall. The other key for me is the refusal of Obama to allow a revote in Michigan (where I live) and either a revote or to just count the Florida delegates. The Florida vote was by and large, fair. The Republicans were largely responsible for this fiasco in Florida and had their hand in stopping a fix in Michigan.

Revote in Mi and Fl, let this play out, then support the nominee, even if not our first choice.

I dislike Obama for the same kinds of reasons that others dislike Hillary, but I will vote for him in the fall. A Democrat president is more important than anything either candidate has done or will do on the campaign trail. IMO
