October 27th Chicago Rally To Hold Big Banks Accountable

http://www.laborradio.org/node/12134

By Doug Cunningham

SEIU is organizing a rally in Chicago October 27th to hold big banks accountable for both their roles in nearly plunging the nation into a depression and their failure to truly stimulate the economy for working people, despite being bailed out by us. Change To Win Chair Anna Burger told Workers Independent News that new financial industry regulations and consumer protections are vital to hold big banks accountable while protecting workers from future reckless actions by financial institutions.

: "We're gonna fight tooth and nail to make sure that there's financial regulatory reform. And we're gonna fight tooth and nail to make sure there's consumer protections so they can't take it off the hides of working people and take it all for themselves. And that's what this is really about."
