OSHA Investigates Local Fatal Mulcher Accident

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Occupational Safety and Health Administration investigated a gruesome landscaping accident that killed a man in Winston-Salem on Saturday.

The accident happened in the 4100 block of North Patterson Avenue near Germantown Road just before noon.

Police said 45-year-old Thomas Guy Rayle fell into a Commercial Mulcher and was killed.

The investigation shut down North Patterson Avenue for two to three hours. The road has since reopened.
