Poll question: Who do you think will win the Lieberman-Lamont primary in CT?
If you had to guess at this point.

1. Lamont is David going against Goliath
Edited on Tue Apr-18-06 04:11 PM by Selatius
Lieberman's name recognition alone makes him quite formidable. I don't know if Lamont is going to win; it's too early to tell, but I hope he makes Lieberman fight harder than he's ever fought just to keep his seat. Lieberman deserves a strong challenge just for supporting a policy that's killed 2300+ servicemen.

2. 'Went with Lamont. I feel pretty good about his chances and his
appeal.

Lieberman is whipping the dead horse of heightened warfare in the Middle East, even as we post on this poll. I don't think it will serve him well in a primary against an appealing new face.

And I don't think Iraq is going to get better anytime soon.

Lamont wins the primary, carries the seat in November, and strengthens Democrats' resistance to the failed Bush presidency.

4. I'm guessing it's because of incumbent advantage (like name recognition)

5. Had you asked "Who do you want to win", I'd say Lamont.....
That would be my preference, but its not gonna happen. Whatever their reasoning, Connecticut voters seem to like people in the "mushy middle", Lieberman, Weicker, Dodd, Rell and Shays all come to mind...

6. Anyone one chose Lamont
is either hoping or naive. He doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of beating Lieberman. Joe has too much recognition, money, and everything else. The race is Lieberman in a massive landslide.

8. Lamont really does have a chance. Dems vote in the primaries
usually the hardcore dem. The hardcore dems are displeased with Joe. I think Ned will win the primary - if he wins the primary -- he will be our senator. The pukes don't have anyone to run. Also, there is still a chance that Joenertia will replace Rummy.

9. Even if he somehow wins
Joe will run as an Indie and will win. He is very popular with pukes.

11. I know it upsets DUers, but Joe is pretty popular with much of CT
his approval ratings there are pretty good, and not just from dems.
