Cavuto guest: stock market will suffer if Moussaoui not executed
During the April 12 edition of Fox News' Your World, Jonathan Hoenig, the managing member of Capitalistpig Asset Management LLC, asserted that the U.S. economy would be unable to "thrive" in the event that convicted September 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui is not summarily executed. Hoenig was responding to a question from host Neil Cavuto, who asked Hoenig and radio host Herman Cain for their thoughts on whether the outcome of the Moussaoui trial, currently in the defense phase, will have an effect on the stock market. Hoenig responded: "If I had my way, you'd bring him out back, put a bullet in his head, and toss him in the dumpster," adding, "This is an evil monster and I just don't see how society can prosper or the economy can prosper, if this guy lives."

<...>

HOENIG: Neil, Moussaoui is evil, and this chilling testimony, whether it be from the World Trade Center or from the cockpit, it puts in front of you the face of evil. And I think the market will be worried, to be honest, if he gets off. I mean, an economy can't thrive --

CAVUTO: Well, there's no chance of that.

HOENIG: Well, if --

CAVUTO: The only issue here is whether he's -- life in prison or death.

HOENIG: I think if -- well, he should be put to death. To be honest, I'm surprised we're giving him the courtesy of the trial, Neil. If I had my way, you'd bring him out back, put a bullet in his head, and toss him in the dumpster. This is an evil monster, and I just don't see how society can prosper or the economy can prosper, if this guy lives.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I didn't realize the market was a living organism. But then again, I'm not in "asset management." :eyes:

1. Because if they don't execute him, he might tell their secrets
Edited on Thu Apr-13-06 09:01 PM by Atman
and bring down the whole house of cards. Is that what you're implying Mr. Hoenig.

Where was Moussoui on 9/11? Oh, yeah. Sitting in a jail cell.

You want to execute him for knowing about 9/11 but not doing anything to stop the events which led to the deaths of thousands and thousands of people? So how, then, do you propose we hold Mr. Bush accountable for same, Mr. Hoenig?

Fuck you, you traitorous bastard!

3. Great freaking irony isn't it?
Kill him for knowing and not doing anything. Bush co. is at the least culpable for that much. And now one of the few journalists that worked on the many questions around 9/11 in a mainstream paper-the Village Voice-James Ridgeway- is fired and they aren't going to do anymore national stories. Too close heh? I'm sick.

2. I think he is wrong....putting the markets aside...if Massoui is
executed....he will become a Matyr for the Zeolots....

People that talk about death so non-chalantly have no outlook on what happens after putting someone like this to death....

I think if they find him guilty....I think they should send him to the Hague for life without the possibility of parole...the jails there are much more harsh than the jails in Americans...there is no doubt he is a sociopathic monster....

4. Completely agree!
He should be locked up, but not executed. He'll be a martyr that was murdered by the 'great satan'.

This is one time when I can say executing him would embolden the terrorists.

6. "summarily executed" is that what this is?
Isn't he getting a trial?,,,,, I don't think he should be executed,, he must know something. Why else would he expect a Presidential Pardon?

8. What a brain trust.
"Courtesy of the trial" - I thought the US was a civilized country.

And if he's not put to death, then it's likely the stockmarket will never, ever, ever, ever, ever bounce back?

9. I have never been able to stand that freak Hoenig
He was on the local Faux news before he went bigtime :eyes: and whatever he may or may not know about economic matters is totally overshadowed by his complete disconnect from the way average people think and feel. These statements just reconfirm my longstanding impression that he is not a wholesome individual.

13. Why Make A Martyr?
Why make Moussaui into a martyr? Instead of his 72 virgins, give him 72 Virginians in the prison shower.
