No kidding, both sides are wearing uniforms with U S ARMY across the chest. ALL-AMERICAN below the numbers.
One team Black and Gold, the other White and Gold.

Reminds me of the fighter jets at the Rose Bowl.

Lockstep.

1. I was looking for the playoffs
and I saw that too. My guess is a pretty transparent attempt to sell the army to african american high school students. I don't think its gonna work.

2. This has been going on for a number of years now
The Army sponsors this high-school football game, and many of the high-school players (dubbed "All-Americans" by college recruiting folks like Rivals, etc.) declare their college intentions at this game.

It is (sadly) a really big deal, and it ain't going away anytime soon.

I have NO idea what it does for Army recruitment goals, since all the kids they hype are going off to college...

Somebody somewhere must think the PR is good, I guess.

3. Not only that, the highly touted recruits are sitting amidst soldiers
fatigues and all, while they make (publicize, anyway) their college declarations. :puke:

So far as I can tell, not one has committed to Army (or Navy or Air Force). Hmmmmm. Maybe we should name one team the Chickenhawks and the other the Draft Dodgers :-)
