First this fucking asshole deflected his own freewill responsibility he said "the (prisoners) brought torture on themselves"This asshole was in control of the hooded bound helpless prisoner.It is the THUG who CHOSE to hurt and kill these Afghani prisoners.
Then when Rather asked this fool if he had any compassion for the prisoners begging for Allah to help them, helpless bound people in pain.. the fucking brute says with perverse fake emotion
"I am sorry he was not born an American!!"
I was so mad I wanted to claw the fake tears and quivering hidden grin right off his evil face.

Ok this is where I point out a deeper issue not only at the fucking brutes bullies and sociopaths that make up a quarter of the human population..

Nor do I buy into the whole "you're paying for bad karma in a past life" crap.

People have been trying to figure out why bad things happen to otherwise good people for as long as people have been here. Some blame God, or the devil, and some try to explain it away by thinking we may choose our path ahead of time, and that suffering is somehow educational in the long-term scheme of things.

It's a coping mechanism, I think. People need SOME way to justify the bad things that happen to people. It doesn't make them evil. It doesn't even make them weak.

And, yes, we DO create our reality to a great extent. Where we are born and to whom may affect our options, but our perceptions and decisions DO affect the life we have, absent those things that can happen that are totally outside of our control.

I appreciate your anger, but I think your target here is misplaced. Some of the most gentle, decent people I've ever met are neopagans and new-agers who think this way, right or wrong.
