"Mixing politics and religion" is part of the Abramoff scandal..

Jack Abramoff wanted to destroy his Democratic opposition. He enlisted Ralph Reed, former communications director for the Christian Coalition to help him. It was no coincidence that Karl Rove called James Dobson of Focus on the Family when they were trying to push thru the incompetent Ms Miers for Supreme Court.

Ralph Reed was the conduit thru which they worked the Christians into their scheme of power, abuse, and corruption. Willingly or unwillingly, the Christians that were caught up in this scandal are guilty, if of nothing else, naivete. But they are still accomplices if they were just driving the car.

This scandal shows how far it can go when politics is mixed with religion and how they can be used for corrupt causes. Leaders of Christian groups should be aware of the connection between Ralph Reed, Jack Abramoff, George W Bush, and the Christian Coalition and other "religious" groups. They cannot hide from being part of this scandal.
