New Quinnipiac Poll: 36 percent approve of Bush's performance
The findings on job approval in the Times survey were virtually identical to results in other polls released Thursday. A poll by Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn., found 36 percent approved and 58 percent disapproved; in a CNN/USA Today/Gallup Poll, the numbers were 38 percent and 60 percent.

The deal allowing Dubai Ports World, headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, to assume control of port operations in six U.S. cities faced opposition from virtually every broad segment of Americans. Overall, 17 percent of those surveyed said they supported the deal....

2. I always think these polls should be written: 64% Disapprove of Bush
It seems more urgent somehow. The fact that he has any approval rating at all is bothersome.

3. That would read easier, but only 58% disapproved (6% were undecided)

4. Shouldn't the term be "DIS-approval rating", below 50 percent?
That way, at least, Faux can claim "*'s poll numbers are continuing to climb"...
