Bush v. Clinton in India - A Photo Essay

As I'm sure you can guess, there's a difference in the welcome given to Dubya and Bill Clinton.

1. That pic of Bill and the rose petals
just stays in my mind.

God, those were the days, my friends.

2. Clinton went for diplomacy
Bush wanted to visit that new deli he's heard so much about.

3. Of course, in the freeper mentality
"We don't care what the rest of the world thinks about us. That's why I like Bush because he doesn't have to impress foreigners."

4. I remember the days
when we had a president who could get close enough to ordinary people to be touched. It seems like a lifetime ago.

5. Last summer I visited the Clinton Library
I thought it was going to be a wonderful uplifting day. Instead, I walked through with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes.

Looking at what use to be, the pictures of a real president, interacting with the world and knowing where we fell in five years, was really hard to take.
