In India, Bush Suffers Comparisons to Clinton
Indian television is loaded with stories comparing Bush's trip to India this week with President Clinton's visit in 2000.

Most of the stories show Clinton dancing with sari-clad women showering him with flower petals. Commentators mention that Clinton broke through his own security barriers to embrace locals, and took a tour of the Taj Mahal and other points of interest.

Bush is a different kind of presidential visitor. He is doing India in two days - laying a wreath for Mahatma Gandhi, meeting the prime minister, Indian CEOs, politicians and religious leaders, and attending a state dinner. He will make a quick day trip Friday to the city of Hyderabad, the center of Indian high-tech industry.

In an interview with Indian journalists before he left Washington, Bush blamed the Taj Mahal omission on scheduling, but he lost his cool a little bit over his lack of interest in India's rich, cultural history.

"Look, if I were the scheduler, perhaps I'd be doing things differently. But you want me doing one thing. I'll be the president, we've got the scheduler being the scheduler. I'm going to miss a lot of the really interesting parts of your great country. I know that. I would hope that I would be invited back sometime after this trip," he said.

Damn scheduler

13. true dat!
Bush could care less about other cultures. He doesn't care about the one he is president of. He only cares about what he cares about, and to him, that should be the whole world's choice, too.

6. Yeah, like Bush let's ANYONE tell him what to do.
:eyes:

It's obvious that Bill enjoys the company of the people and vice-versa. Didn't I read that people fell over themselves just to shake his hand?

Bush, on the other hand, looks like he's saying to himself, "I can't wait to get away from these injuns!"

7. how did it come to this?
How did our once great country come to be led by such an emotionally-crippled, intellectually-challenged, egomanical simpleton. It's just EMBARASSING.

9. Translation
"Look, if I were the scheduler, perhaps I'd be doing things differently. But you want me doing one thing. I'll be the president, we've got the scheduler being the scheduler."

Translation: I'm only capable of doing one thing at a time and I'm at the mercy of the scheduler.

On the side: Apparently, as a child, he never wanted to ride an elephant either.

11. Could he sound any more petulant?
What an idiot. He keeps repeating "I'm the president, I'm the president" the implication being that the entire rest of the world is just the help.

12. No
He couldn't possibly sound any more petulant.

Is his whole life a lie? None of his thought processes, in conversation, make sense. He casts about for an answer to a question as though he's never had a candid conversation before. "A scheduler schedules", fits one of his practiced communication patterns. It's cropped up before, useless, filler pap: "we're problem solvers. we solve problems"

I watched him search a full 6 seconds for a word the other day, to use in the middle of a simple sentence. In context, it was clear that the word needed to be an adjective, proceeding "Katrina" or a variation. He reached way down deep into his memory, struggling to find the appropriate side of his brain, and 'know what we got? "Huge".

Some people are just challenged by verbal skills, and that probably shouldn't be any kind of test or 'tell' - but that's not what's going on with Bush. His contemporaneous exchanges are quick and biting when he wants to wound. Your idea that "the entire rest of the world is just the help" probably covers all of it. There's no respect for the audience when he speaks.

14. In America the Scheduler is more Powerful than the pResident
I thought being pResident meant being the one to make decisions. shows how much I know. Hail the mighty Scheduler.. Maybe the Scheduler is the one who needs to be Impeached.. Apparently Bush* has no Power over the Schedulers decisions. It was the Scheduler that sent Bush* to San Diego during Katrina and would not let him help those people..

15. What, Bush needs a Commando Army of Security, while Clinton disregarded
His security to freely mingle with average people in India?

Does the 'liberal media' know of this, I thought Bush was suppose to be the brave one?

Oh, I see. We must not really have a 'liberal media,' it must really be CORPORATE REPUBLICAN MEDIA.
