Things are going to get REALLLY ugly soon.

I just have a feeling that politically, America is going to go through a period of time that will be nearly as tumultuous as anything it's seen in the last 75 years.

4. Unfortunately, it's pretty bad for all of us. They will, however, spend
more money on lawyers than we will.

8. LOL, so true...
They've set the stage for it. Their unmitigated ugliness during the Clinton years has boomeranged on them. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.

12. Yeah, but life is going to be hell for everyone!

Especially the poor. They've so screwed things up so much that they could drag alot more down than their lives and careers.

Oh well, time will tell!

17. Very true...
I think that the country as a whole is in for a very rough readjustment phase, kind of like Europe post-WWII.

11. I guess I'm thinking scandals...

...and increased public anger. It seems like there are more and more strikes and unrest. I don't think that mining community in WV is going to shut up so easily - and least I hope not.

22. No caring person
really expected New Orleans to fall off the radar either. Something will knock this story out of the minds of the sheeple also. There is still the Brad and Jennifer thing to concern us.

9. I think so too but we need it
We need it to get rid of the scums and I think we'll be stronger for it in the end. Just surround yourself with things/people that make you happy when things get rough.

13. it may be unprecedented- beyone anything any of us expect-
I say this not because I'm an alarmist- but think about the weapons, technology, speed of communications, and depth of secrecy that exist now, that didn't even 50 yrs ago.

Einstien said: "I do not know how the Third World War will be fought, but I can tell you what they will use in the Fourth—rocks!"

We are playing with more than fire here.

16. Yes!
That's what worries the whey out of me...they've got the capability to keep us sewed up tight for a good long time. And the countries that helped in WWII seem to be having their own trouble with a rising conservatism/fascism.

Be ready and be very afraid. They're coming to take us away. It's the end of the world as we know it. And that little jug-eared retard has a nuclear football if he gets a snit on.

All because he can.

21. It seems that the Hatred of Abramoff
has become widespread.

I've been trying to "discuss" politics with a couple of wingers - and it's hopeless - mostly because of their learned hatred of liberals. One of them even claims to have been a liberal once - so it's not like they grew up with this stuff. It's scary to think that people get these notions and no matter what evidence there may ever be to the contrary - they will never change their minds.

Their delusions that Republican politicians are not responsible for any of their actions also boggles the mind.

Someone posted this earlier - and it's worth repeating:

"In Gang of Five, Nina J. Easton recounts a story from the early-1980s heyday of the College Republicans, under the lead of Grover Norquist and Ralph Reed (And Jack Abramoff). According to Easton, before sending out campus recruitment teams, Reed and other CR leaders would require members to memorize the infamous speech from the film Patton, substituting the word "Democrats" for the word "Nazis": "The Democrats are the enemy. Wade into them! Spill their blood! Shoot them in the belly!" One year, the CR's Christmas card even featured a photo of Patton standing atop a hill, binoculars in hand, under the message: "Merry Christmas from the Front." "

"It is not our job to seek peaceful coexistence with the left. Our job is to remove them from power permanently." - Jack Abramoff
