John Stewart for president......
...the GOP got their Reagan from showbiz, should we get our John Stewart from showbiz.

I really think we need a non-politician next time around, because from what I hear where I live and work, the 'sheeple' have had it with career politicos.

"They're all damn crooks", is the most common thing I hear. Kind of like 1994.

Throw the damn bums out!

Her qualifier: "even though he's short." LOL. MKJ

15. I thought he was kind of sexy, but he is SHORT

And, he has gotten a little arrogant. I like John Stewart. But, he doesn't qualify for the sexy list.

I am 5'8. And, I have been with men shorter then me. But, I have to admit, I like my husband's height of 6'2. I can wear heels & still be shorter when we dance. I get a kick out of it!

25. I don't know. He often jokes about being a "little man" and when most
guests walk up to him and shake his hand, it's evident he's shorter than most.

Regardless, he's a sexy guy. :) MKJ

5. I would vote for John Stewart for king of the world.
I think we should run a write-in safe state campaign for him, and see how many votes we can get him in NJ, Mass, Indiana, etc.

And then throw a party if he gets more than Nader did.

6. Jon Stewart for president for life.
He's one of the sharpest commentators around. It's a shame he doesn't show it off as much as he should/could. He let it shine like a f*cking spotlight on his appearance on the now post-mortem Crossfire; he put his finger right on the button. It was like he reached into my inner monologue and articulated that which I had no idea how to put into words.

I guess it goes without saying that I'd vote for him.

11. I saw that show again
Just recently. Watching it again you realize just how much of a douchebag Tucker Carlson is. The entire segment the moron didn't seem to understand the point Stewart was making.

For nothing, even if he is younger than me.

But truth is, I don't think that Jonathan Liebowitz really wants to sit in the White House. :)

14. No. No actors, comedians, entertainers, singers, dancers....

Please. Please let people versed in diplomacy, language arts, philosophy, ethics, law...Let them lead.

The best minds we can find. The smartest, the most creative, with a global perspective.

I am not saying entertainers can't add to the debate or that Stewart has spread a bigger perspective through humor. I hardly believe that qualifies as a Presidential qualification. And, I know the majority of people in there are completely ill-qualified. But, in a fantasy world, Americans would want educated, dedicated, experienced, studied people. Wow. What a concept.

20. actors and artists and general are generally the first people
to pick up on what's going on in the world. Sure some of them are idiots, or don't know how to effectively communicate their message, but don't overgeneralize and imply their opinions and or education don't count. One of the great things about this country is that anyone can be President (in theory, at least). There is no limiting factor other than age.

And no, I'm not an actor, but I am married to one... and she is one of the most intelligent, insightful, well-read, thoughtful and inquisitive people I know. I'd vote her for President in a heartbeat.

23. If you really want to win...
Go for a serious actor, maybe one who's already played the president.

Martin Sheen? Alan Alda?
Harrison Ford would win hands down. People are just that stupid. Sad but true. Just look at Arnie.
