1. His suggestion that Iran is willing to risk world war
to stick it to the US and Europe is disturbing. Is it 1938?

2. But the US is already doing this. * has plans to remake the entire
ME. He's already started a world war. It just remains to be seen how far the world is going to let him go. He's even talking of using nukes against those countries that would defend themselves.

5. Both sides will share the guilt for a conflagration,
if a world war breaks out. Both sides.

3. That site always seems to be "worst case scenario" but you have to
admit that the Iranians may feel they have nothing to lose by going to war, especially after the example of Iraq.

4. I've read the claims that Iran actively encouraged us to attack
Iraq, by having their alleged agent Ahmed Chalabi feed us bullshit about WMD and about how the Iraq people would welcome us. (Supposedly Chalabi sent four different operatives to us with specific 'intelligence' about locations of WMD and so forth; these operatives claimed to be Iraqi dissidents and hid their connections to Chalabi.) If this is true, it would make sense: Iran wanted to get rid of Saddam and they wanted an unstable Iraq that would allow friendly Shiites to gain control. The fact that our weakness is now on display is a sweetener for the Iranians.
