O'Lielly: All kinds of Muslim crazies up in Canada running around
During the February 22 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio show, Fox News host Bill O'Reilly claimed that if "Al Qaeda wanted to get in here , it's easy," because "they've got all kinds of Muslim crazies up in Canada running around." O'Reilly was commenting on the controversial acquisition by Dubai Ports World of the British firm Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Co., which manages six U.S. ports. Dubai Ports World is owned by the government of Dubai, a member state of the United Arab Emirates. O'Reilly contrasted security concerns about the deal with the lack of comparable concern over Canada. According to O'Reilly, although "we do a lot of business with Canada," they have "the easiest infiltration in the world"; he continued, "All you do is have to show up in Montreal."

From the February 22 broadcast of Westwood One's The Radio Factor with Bill O'Reilly:

O'REILLY: You know, we do a lot of business with Canada -- this is what gets me -- Canada has got the easiest infiltration in the world. All you do is have to show up in Montreal. You don't even have to have a passport, and they'll let you in the country as a refugee. You just show up and go, "Hey, I'm here." "Oh, OK, come on in." And we're doing business with Canada all the time, and we don't have any checks up there. We don't have any Border Patrol up in Canada. I mean we have a few, but, you know, anybody can come down. I don't hear any big screaming about doing business with Canada. You know, if Al Qaeda wanted to get here, it's easy. They've got all kinds of Muslim crazies up in Canada running around. You see? So people get emotional.

So Bill, how about all the 'Christian' crazies running around the US? Especially the one in the White House...

Bring Back Donahue
February 22, 2006

Chairman Robert Wright
National Broadcasting Company
30 Rockefeller Plaza
New York, New York 10112

Dear Chairman Wright:

We, the undersigned, are becoming increasingly concerned about the well-being of MSNBC and, in particular, note the continuing ratings failure of the program currently airing weeknights on that network at 8:00 PM EST.

It is now apparent to everyone that a grave injustice has been done to the previous host for that time slot, Phil Donahue, whose ratings, at the time of his show's cancellation three years ago, were demonstrably stronger than those of the current host.

Therefore, in an effort to rescue MSNBC from the ratings basement and to restore the honor and dignity of Mr. Donahue, who was ignobly removed as host three years ago, we ask that you immediately bring Phil Donahue's show back at 8:00 PM EST before any more damage is done.

6. Bill researched this thoroughly...i.e., asked the voices in his head...
People need no passports, that's ridiculous. Bill has always spread these ignorant lies about Canada. I would imagine it would be a lot easier to get to the US from the south either by land or boat. Tons of cocain and thousands of illegal immigrants seem to be getting in regularly.

But it's evil Canada with their socialized health care and gay marriage...

9. It's not just their socialized health care and gay marriage.
Can't get too friendly with a country that, if and when we need it, is sitting on what may be our oil and natural gas.

And yes they do check for passports and such. And no, they won't let everyone in. I've been to Canada, it's on of the best countries that I know of. So Bill, STFU
