5. We are making sacrifices.
Our children, our brothers and sisters. Our jobs. Our healthcare. Our way of life. Our Constitution.

They may not frame it in those terms, but we are sacrificing much.

It's that financially-top percent or so that is not making sacrifices.

9. Why this question, now?
Perhaps lowering the "urgency" and sense of danger - in order to make the ports issue (suddenly a big thorn for bushco) seem less of a big deal to bush constituents?
