Time of day is important because it is illegal to hunt a half hour AFTER dusk.

Also according to the original timeline there is a three hour gap between the accident and getting the guy to the hospital.

Maybe CNN was referring to East Coast time, not local time.
Actually, I think I saw somewhere that it was closer to 6 PM local time.
I don't think 5 PM at that southern latitude would be dusk. I'm pretty far north (Seattle) and 5 PM is dusk here. Our sunset is about 5:30 now.

If the first thing she saw was Cheney's security detail running toward the scene, and she thought Cheney'd had a heart attack, then she WASN'T an eyewitness and shouldn't be talking in the press about what happened when she has no freaking idea. If she didn't see or hear anything, which she indicates by saying she thought Cheney'd had heart problems, then how the freak does SHE know if Whittington announced himself or not, or even if Cheney had seen him and shot anyway? She DOESN'T KNOW what happened !! The above statement ***PROVES*** that she was *NOT* an eyewitness - SHE WASNT THERE.
