I wonder if Cheney bothered to get an "out of state" license...
isn't he still "officially" a Wyoming resident since he quickly changed it right after picking himself as the VP candidate?

1. Good question!
How old is he? If he's over 65, there may be some exemption, but I don't know. I threw away my Texas Hunting and Fishing regulation book (seriously, I threw it away--I crab in Texas and I always have that book).

Hunting Licenses and Permits
A hunting license is required of any person, regardless of age, who hunts any animal or bird in this state (except furbearers, if the hunter possesses a trapper's license).

You do not need a fishing license or stamp endorsements if you are:

a resident or non-resident under 17 years of age.
a Texas resident and were born before Sept. 1, 1930.
a mentally disabled Texas resident who is fishing as part of medically approved therapy.
a Texas resident diagnosed as mentally retarded.

6. Well, I know here in Okla, if you get caught hunting w/o a license they
WILL nail your ass...and even more so if you don't live here.

3. He's Dick Cheney
He doesn't have to do anything he doesn't want to do. And if you imply otherwise, he'll shoot you.

5. You forget, the law doesn't apply to Smirk and Sneer.
They call it "executive privilege."

7. I hear you don't need a license to shoot lawyers.
And Cheney got about five deferments to avoid shooting people during the Vietnam War and now he takes it up. Go figure. Oh well, this will make the history books for sure.
