It's not scumbags hiring sleazy ambulance-chasers when WE do it!
Wouldja look at this?? A wingnut blogger is outraged that that old "liberal media" continues to give a forum to these shadowy fed gov whistleblowers, allowing them to continue to tell us just how bad the unconstitutional eavesdropping problem really is... and now a right-wingnut says, "SUE 'EM! SUE THE MEDIA!" What?? Righteous Christian family-oriented Amuricans joining the ranks of sleazeball, greasy, opportunistic plaintiffs and their greedy ambulance-chasing "trial lawyers"???!?

The Media Cannot Stop Itself From Helping Our Enemies

Are we to expect every day for the foreseeable future political partisans (and let’s be honest here, that is what is motivating these ‘whistleblowers’ - they want democrats in power) will be slowly dismantling our protection mechanisms as they leak to the press?

These liberal zealots, and the liberal media comrades, have apparently decided they cannot wait to dictate a change in policy through our legal, democratic processes. They have determined their desperation makes them above the law, and the rest of us expendable in their war against America.

Why else would we continue to see more details on how we have been protecting ourselves against terrorist attacks, thus providing the terrorists a clear road map on how to avoid our defenses. The Washington Post (and many others) have further disrupted our ability to monitor terrorists in our country!

(snip)

(summary of snipped part: conservo-blogger gets panties in wad over the fact that the WaPo and NYT continue to report what the whistleblowers are telling about unconstitutional eavesdropping)

A while ago someone suggested a way for ‘We The People’ to fight back as these treasonous liberals expose us to attack. The idea was to bring a class action law suit against the media outlets who recklessly expose our defense mechanisms to our enemies. We don’t need to win, as much as get millions and millions of people signing up against the New York Times, Washington Post, the reporters themselves. In my opinion these companies are impairing my civil rights by exposing me and my familiy to terrorist acts. I have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and the partisan actions of these leakers is putting all of this at risk.

2. In a sense, he is.
He is holding terr'ism over our heads. I think even the wingnuts know, at least subconsciously, that Chimpy can make a terr'ist attack happen whenever he wants.

It's nothing more than us, paying protection money to the mob. Junior is "the mob", and we are the shopowners. If we don't pay our monthly protection money (i.e., give up some more rights), then "some thugs" will break out our shop windows and trash the place. The truth is, the "thugs" are the same guy we pay the protection money to.

3. So please sue them!
A very open and public trial could be the best thing that could happen. Maybe then it would sink into some of the thick sculled types just what is being done to them, supposedly for their benefit.

4. Unfortunately people seem to forget.........
we are no more able to deal with an attack now, then we were on 9/11. The * administration would have you believe that we are, but the response to Katrina and the other natural disasters of last summer show we are not well prepared. All * has done is create an expansive government agency (Homeland Security) that still cannot function effectively.

It has been well known that since at least 1998, bin Laden hasn't used his satellite phone because it's easy to track and listen in on. Talking in code, using throw-away cell phones and other similar practices are reputed to be common among the al Qaeda operatives.
So when * says its reporting on this spying or use of wiretapping gives the terrorist ways to subvert it, well they already have.

We are no more safer from OBL now than before, remember it took them about 6 yrs to regroup after the bombing of the trade center, to actually taking it down on 9/11. Remember, Bush's DPB told him, bin laden was determined to use airplanes but it went ignored. Bush decided back then that vacation was more important and he still thinks that way.
