Brian Lamb managed to avoid reality for 1 hr. today on Wash. Journal

this morning WJ was 2 1/2 hrs. due to going to the Katrina hearings.

the first hr. Lamb asked the question of what made a good leader? when calls came thru saying smirk was NOT a good leader, Brian got pissed and said not to dump on smirk but just say what you think a good leader was. however he kept asking for names of good leaders and allowed wingnuts to offer up smirk.

one hour of this nonsense.

next was two political bloggers - right and left, which where ok but imparted nothing new or interesting.

what will scaredy cat Lamb do next Fri. to keep reality away?

1. I disagree about part two
The woman from Mahablog (a DUer, according to Skinner) was wonderful. Articulate and intelligent and didn't take any bullshit, despite her soft-spoken manner. She had all the facts, and wasn't afraid to use them. I'd tried to be impartial and open minded about the second guy, the righty. But he was shocking...I hadn't heard anyone spew his tired talking points in nearly a year. The guy still claims the WMD are in Iraq, just buried. He says he just can't understand why Bush hasn't sent the people in to get them. Why, indeed? He got lambasted by one caller who wanted to know his credentials (which were pretty slim...he's a freelance writer and contributor to NationalReview online). I didn't see the beginning, but I'm not sure why anyone would be surprised at lamb's shilling, from what I've heard of the guy posted here (I'm not a regular CSPAN viewer).
