Like, OMG! Jenna's writing a book!
You can soon add the title of author to first daughter Jenna Bush's résumé. Whispers learns that the 25-year-old blond twin of Barbara Bush is shopping a book proposal to major publishers in New York City. We're told that the project is vague and that she's initially only gauging publishers' interest. The White House wouldn't comment, but others say it will be a young-adult book based on the former grade school teacher's experiences with charity causes in Latin America. It ought to sell: She's represented by super lawyer-agent Robert Barnett, who squired her around publishing offices in the Big Apple earlier this month. The profits will go to charity.

1. "The former grade school teacher's experiences...."
And she's 25?

Well, that career sure didn't last long.

10. I didn't even know she was a teacher
Come to think of it, I don't think she's ever had a job.

31. well, Laura was a librarian for a whopping four years...
...and every time she's mentioned (especially when trying to deflect from Chimpy's idiocy), it's always pointed out that she's a "former librarian."

It's apparently a family tradition: you do a job for the bare minimum required, and then coast on it for the rest of your life.

After all, little Georgie spent a grand total of about one year actually showing up for duty in the Texas ANG, and he's a "former fighter pilot."

2. I can see it now.
They will advertise the book in the style of a "Girls Gone Wild" infomercial. A lot of people up at 3:00 am will buy a book like that from an authoress like Jenna.

3. Why do I think "writing" is going to be an exaggeration in this case?
Edited on Sat Jan-20-07 01:37 PM by Der Blaue Engel
If any Pigfucker spawn has the ability to write, there's probably some paternity testing that needs to be done.

edited for typo

I suppose millions would buy a diary by a daughter by Ivan the Terrible.

7. It ticks me off that they call her a "former grade school teacher"
As far as I can tell, after receiving an English degree in Texas, she spent a couple of months volunteering at a school in Washington, D.C.

. . . when Britney and the other dumb little starlets were flashing their skanky tw*ts from limos (now THAT is a prepositional phrase!) I remember thinking, "Jenna's next."

I was wrong. Sorry Jenna, you're a real class act.

What? You say there's gonna be a centerfold???

They have cloth covers. Some have lines on the pages, while others are clean. What was the title of one...oh yeah, "My Diary". It's about working on a cow farm, I'm sure.

30. The idea that Jenna will really write a book is ludicrous
She'll have a ghost writer, which will of course will be denied.

Wonder what happened to that "job" she was supposed to get in the DC Public Schools? Didn't last long, and after a lot of fanfare, that's the last we heard about it.

34. Hopefully daddy will hold it right-side-up when he reads it!
I know the upside-down My Pet Goat pic was a photoshopped urban legend, but I just had to say it. It's not a stretch of the imagination to think that he'd actually TRY to read a book upside-down.
