Hunter pays dearly for big deer ( Blood thirsty Fu@ks!)
A Coral Springs hunter who killed a buck that had an award-winning 32-point rack was ordered Tuesday to pay a criminal fine of $12,000 and forced to forfeit the deer's rack and his crossbow after he pleaded guilty to illegally hunting and killing the deer in Illinois.

The deer's rack -- antlers -- which would have been worth a sizable sum in crossbow and magazine endorsements was seized by federal authorities and will never go into the record books.

<snip>
In 2001, Wessinger, who uses a crossbow, killed an eight-point deer, and then illegally poached another eight-pointer the following day, according to court records.

He returned to Florida with his catch, and had the specimens mounted by a taxidermist and displayed them in his home as trophies.

<snip>
On Nov. 3, 2003, an unidentified hunter wounded a large white-tailed buck, and Wessinger and a third hunter went to retrieve the wounded buck in all-terrain vehicles, chasing down the deer and shooting it multiple times with arrows, court records show.

<snip>
Authorities said the kill was illegal because Wessinger hauled the deer back to his truck without tagging the animal where it was killed, and he failed to have his permits with him at time of the killing, court records show. The deer was photographed without a harvest tag attached, which is illegal in Illinois.

Wessinger took possession of the deer, even though the first hunter claimed he had killed it, court papers show.

2. The deer paid most dearly of all.
I honestly don't get what sort of satisfaction is derived from "chasing down the deer and shooting it multiple times with arrows," in all-terrain vehicles, no less. I'm glad this numbnut was fined, etc., but I'm sure he's even more determined to bag another one "legally."
