3. Tom Toles was probably the first major editorial cartoonist

... to call attention to global warming -- and he's done so consistently for almost 2 decades. This is only one of many environmental cartoons he's done (and which have helped liven up my lectures for years -- thanks Tom!). Alas, another cartoon (portraying Bush repeatedly saying "too soon" to climate protection measures, until the last panel, "too late") was all too prescient!




I confess that I also like this one!

17. I used to read him in the Buffalo News when I was a teenager.

A million years ago. I remember thinking, wow, and this is a local guy?

ANd he just gets better and better.

That one cracked me up. And of course the ones when bush was resisting testifying before the 9/11 Commission were also spot on.
