Dennis Miller starting radio show on Westwood One
Edited on Wed Jan-10-07 10:00 AM by kskiska
WASHINGTON, Jan 10 (Reuters) - Dennis Miller, the comedian and former Weekend Update anchor on television's "Saturday Night Live," plans in March to launch his first radio show on Westwood One Inc.'s network, the company said on Wednesday.

The daily three-hour show, "The Dennis Miller Show," will include Miller's commentaries as well as interviews and calls from listeners, and be broadcast in major U.S. markets. Westwood One said it will also relaunch Miller's official Web site.

You just have to know that in some boardrooms, there re some scared guys in suits who know that the '08 election is looming large, and they are desperately trying to minimize the liberal and accentuate the wingnuttery faction.

3. The Slide Continues...Another Joker On The Radio...
Looks like Dennis finally wore out his video card...cha cha. Even his rants on Hannity's show were so over the top he got cut back and then out. My bets are the chimp he used to have as a co-host gets more calls returned by agents.

So where does he turn? The refuge of all wingnuts...hate radio. Surely his esoteric rants and quirky pop culture references will go real good with the neanderthals who inhabit the "Savage Nation". Looks like his career is now on track with Danny Bonnaduce into total obsolence.

The other day someone posted how a comic would make a great radio talk show host. That's what was AAR's problem...too many comics and not enough real radio talk people. At least Dennis gets a paycheck and no one will hear a word he says.

4. Instead of calling him the former
Weekend Update anchor, call him the former comedian.

That is what he is really, to be accurate.

6. adding another "former" soon
I would guess that in about 4 or 5 months Mr. Miller can add former radio talk show host to former cable tv host, former Monday Night Football announcer and former Saturday night live comedian. Amazing he doesn't have visible burns from the amount of times he's been fired..
